My wife and I spent a year in Korea, and came to know two amazing women who run the cooking site + channel bburi kitchen. I had the pleasure of joining them on a couple of occasions to shoot some footage. We collaborated on a couple of projects, but I had this footage lying around so decided to pull it together into an explainer. While I can’t say I enjoy saeujeot (salt-fermented shrimp) on their own, I can attest to their flavor-enhancing qualities.
Hobak Pyeonsu (summer squash dumplings) on the other hand…yowza that’s delicious! I loved being able to cut this video to the fun music track, which is by the Kim Sisters, a Korean-born singing trio from the 50’s and 60’s.
